Older Persons Advocacy Network - OPAN - Australia wide support

Older Persons Advocacy Network is funded by the Australian Government Department of Health, to deliver the National Aged Care Advocacy Program. Our network members provide free, confidential, and independent support to older people seeking or receiving government-funded aged care services, their families, and representatives across Australia.

Together, they help older people understand and exercise their aged care rights, seek aged care services that suit their needs and find solutions to issues they may be experiencing with their aged care provider.

Seniors Rights Service is a community organisation dedicated to protecting and advancing the rights of older people, particularly vulnerable and disadvantaged groups.

They provide free and confidential telephone advice, aged care advocacy and support, legal advice, and community information to seniors across New South Wales, including Norfolk Island.

When a person living with dementia is experiencing changes to their behaviour, they work with you to understand the causes – and help you improve their quality of life.

Services Australia comes to Norfolk Island twice a year, they usually meet with Care Norfolk to update us on what support they can offer for our aged clients. Below are some links to help you understand what you could be intitled to as an aged person and/or a carer.
